Veterinarians

 

Dr. Manjit Jammu

Dr. Manjit Jammu, LaSalle Veterinarian

Dr. Manjit Jammu, DVM, specializes in general practice and surgery. He earned his educations from BVSC, MVSC, and Purdue University. He has been a part of the Clearwater Animal Hospital team since 1998. He has special interest in improving customer service experience at the practices, and he works hard to upgrade his education every year through attending veterinary conferences and participating in hands-on wet labs. He has also earned numerous CE certificates, both for clinical practice and business.

Dr. Jammu is married and lives in LaSalle. His pet Max, a fourteen and a half year old Bichon Frise, is his four-legged son. When he isn’t working, Dr. Jammu enjoys lots of hobbies such as golfing and skiing. He likes learning something new every year or so. He also enjoys volunteering and has earned the United Way and Jazzpur Volunteer of the Year Awards.

Dr. Sukhpal Gill

LaSalle Veterinarian, Dr. Sukhpal Gill

Dr. Sukhpal Gill has been a part of the practice since 1998, specializing in small animal internal medicine. He earned his Bachelors and Masters of Veterinary Science, and completed his one year clinical program at Iowa State University.

Dr. Gill’s wife Ruby is also a veterinarian who has been practicing for over 10 years. They have two sons, the older of whom finished a degree in environmental studies from the University of Windsor, and the younger of whom is starting his degree in biology from the University of Windsor.

When Dr. Gill isn’t working as a veterinarian saving animals’ lives, he loves playing sports, running, and golfing. He also enjoys traveling and has a passion for landscaping and gardening projects.

Dr. Maggie Rockx

Originally from Burlington, Dr. Maggie Rockx came to our practice in 2016. She earned her Bachelor of Science from the University of Guelph in 2012, and her DVM from the Ontario Veterinary College at the University of Guelph four years later. She spent many years working as a volunteer, foster parent, veterinary assistant, and veterinarian with different animal shelters and rescue groups.

As one of our newest veterinarians, Dr. Rockx looks forward to getting to know pets and the people of Windsor and LaSalle. She also looks forward to using her many years of education and experience to treat the four-legged patients that come in to our practice.

Dr. Rockx is the proud parent of four fur children: Serena, a New Zealand white rabbit; Penny and Bernadette, mice; and Belle, a long-haired miniature dachshund. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, baking, and needlework-type crafts.

 

Practice Manager

 

Michelle Helmer, RVT

Michelle Helmer, Veterinary Practice Manager

Michelle, our Practice Manager, has been a part of our veterinary team since 2000. She is also a Registered Veterinary Technician and a St. Clair College graduate, class of 2000. She enjoys her career in the veterinary industry and loves all the great people she has met over the years. Michelle and her husband Kevin have two sons, Caleb and Haden, and as a family they have to domestic short-haired cats: Shilo and Stanley. When she isn’t workingb at the animal hospital, Michelle loves reading, cooking and baking, entertaining friends and family, and spending time with the people she loves. She also really enjoys interior design, whether that means going on house tours or reading interior design magazines.

 

Registered Veterinary Technicians

 

Judy Mills

Judy, a Registered Veterinary Technician, has been a member of our team since 2006. She completed the Veterinary Technician Program at St. Clair College, graduating in 2001. She is a Hill’s Nutritional Advocate and a member in good standing with the OAVT. She genuinely enjoys assisting the veterinarians in providing excellent care for pets whether it be through routine visits, surgery, or pet illness. She and her husband and three children, who live in LaSalle, recently adopted Wheatie, a 5-year-old American Bulldog mix from the humane society. When she isn’t working, Judy enjoys playing outside with the kids and dog, as well as going to the beach and park.

Marcia Simpson

Marcia, a Registered Veterinary Technician, has been a member of our team since 2011. She graduated from the Veterinary Technician program at St. Clair College. Marcia loves daily interaction with animals. She is married with two stepdaughters and two pets: Maggs, a Pug, and Lucy, a Siamese cross. When she isn’t working at the animal hospital, Marcia loves camping, reading, and watching hockey. Little known fact, Marcia is scared of spiders and bees!

C.J Girard

C.J. has been a Registered Veterinary Technician with our team since 2012. She loves learning new things and new ways to do things for our patients. She is also a recipient of the Like Thomson Memorial Award, for proficiency in clinical pathology. C.J.’s interests include animals, horseback riding, and hanging out with friends and family. She is a very shy person.

Samantha Forsyth

Samantha is a Registered Veterinary Technician who has has been part of our team since April of 2016. She obtained her degree in Veterinary Technology from St. Clair College, and uses the knowledge she gained there every day at our practice. Her favorite part about working at the practice is helping our four-legged patients through surgeries, and performing laser therapy and digital X-ray services. Samantha is married to her high school sweetheart, Russell, and she is the proud parent of four fur-children, Stewart, Walter, Poppy, and Penelope. In her free time, Samantha loves yoga, reading, and figure skating.

 

Customer Service Representative

 

Kelly Zeray

Kelly, our customer service representative, has been a part of our veterinary team since 2009. She is continually pursuing ongoing education and she has earned recognitions in the areas of nutrition, medicine, and behavior. Her favorite part of working at the practice is building relationships with our clients and patients. She loves the exciting and ever-changing environment. Kelly’s love for animals follows her home where she has two Boston Terriers, Baxter and Abbey. When she isn’t working, she enjoys boating.
