Halloween Costume Safety for Pets

Halloween Costume Safety for Pets

Are you getting your pet dressed up for Halloween or entering the Clearwater Animal Hospital pet Halloween costume contest? (See below for details!) If so, make sure that they are safe and comfortable in their costume. Here are some tips for making sure that your pet is happy:

  • Costume should not be tight enough to cause your pet discomfort
  • Costume should not be loose enough to cause your pet to trip or become tangled up
  • If your pet begins to struggle or stumble, remove the costume right away to return them to their comfort level before they injure themselves
  • For pets that experience anxiety during travel, we recommend that you remove their costume to bring them to our office for their photo and put it back on them when they arrive here

Clearwater Animal Hospital Pet Halloween Costume Contest

Clearwater Animal Hospital is having a pet Halloween costume contest, open to the community! Entering the contest is simple. Just come to Clearwater Animal Hospital anytime between October 16 and October 30, 2015 and bring your costumed pet. The staff will take a picture of your pet and enter them into our contest for a chance to win great prizes!

How Does My Pet Win?

On October 31, all competing photos will be uploaded to our Facebook page and you and your friends will be able to VOTE for your favorite picture. The pet who receives the most likes will be the winner and it will be announced on Monday, November 2 at 9am. Photos must be taken at the hospital within the contest dates in order to qualify.

What’s the Grand Prize?
